The title of the article at Computing on Demand is "Configure Windows 10 for Mining," but I would apply these changes to any computer that only crunches. You can pick and chose which things you would not do on your daily driver, such as appearance for performance instead of appearance.

The guide says to change your power profile to "High Performance" which can actually hurt performance for a lot of modern CPUs. For AMD Ryzen 5000-series CPUs you want "Balanced." For all previous generations of AMD Ryzen CPUs you want to download AMD's latest chipset drivers and then enable "AMD Ryzen Balanced" power profile.

Windows is more than capable of handing it's paging file automatically. Just leave it alone. Removing all the built in apps saves a trivial amount of space and doesn't affect performance. And why disable automatic updates if you are going to go through all the trouble to enable automatic logon?
