I've entered the team in the THOR Challenge 2020 event, sponsored by our friends Crunchers Sans Frontieres. This is a unique and exciting event that runs for five weeks. This is a two-part challenge; the top teams in run time (aka compute hours) move on each week until week four, rank after week five is based on points.

This isn't the first time there's been maintenance - or worse, a system failure - during a challenge. At least all competitors are affected equally.

As of now we're still holding 8th, amazing! :USA:

And they are back up and running. I've successfully uploaded completed work, but didn't need any new work so can't say if downloads are working yet. The validators are still offline to facilitate everyone sending in completed work.

With THOR Challenge for us to advance we need to be in the Top 50 the first week. Top 25 the second week then Top 10 the third week. The fourth week is the final. Then there is also the THOR Challenge Pure which will be held the fifth week for the Top 20 from weeks one through three that aren't affiliated with a company, association, foundation, government agency, administration, university, college or school.

Thanks for this. In addition, I believe the first part of the challenge is based on run time, meaning compute hours. Each project should count equally, in theory anyway. The Pure challenge is points based, so to place well we should focus on the top credit projects(s). I don't know what those are offhand, but I'm sure someone else does so feel free to chip in.
