There is no work available for GPU yet. The latest information, dated 17 September 2020, states: "Both the research team and World Community Grid tech team are continuing to make progress on porting the software that powers OpenPandemics to GPU.
The researchers are working on performance improvements for an OpenCL version. Meanwhile, World Community Grid has submitted the code for IBM's Open Source review and a security review. We don't currently know exactly when the IBM reviews will be done."

I'd like to get some GPU action too but honestly we're probably better off as a team that it isn't yet available, for this challenge anyway.
I am ready! I believe it is going to be perfect for my four Radeon HD 7990 video cards (FP64 performance of 7,784 GFLOPS total). That rig is running CPU work while waiting for GPU work.

Fantastic! What a great team! Well, I will be ready, though not as powerfully ready, as my new Desktop is coming very soon!

We're still holding 5th with just under 24 hours to go, an amazing job! Rechenkraft is trying to sneak past us, so make sure your stats are exporting, and opt-in if they aren't so your work will count for the team! :USA:
I'm bunkering on the two 24-core machines that I turned on this week. I plan to dump in the bunkers (over 2000 WUs) tomorrow after the 12Z update. If they happen to pass us, maybe we will have enough to pass them back into 5th at the final tally.

Google translate just told me that "Rechenkraft" means "Power of Computation" in German. Well... I did not like it! Es hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen!

Let's not tell the competition everything we're doing. Looks like we got nudged out of 5th, but we did finish in 6th. Great work! We've qualified for the 3rd leg, let's start getting ready. ;)

They're a solid team and they also run the RNA World project. It's an interesting project.

Congratulations! We've made it to both finals: THOR, pure and impure! :)
Will we be strong enough to take the hammer?

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land... GOD BLESS THE USA!

Hi! I hope nobody is tired because now is time we begin to build our greatest victory ever! I would say now our new definition of impossible is to finish at 3d place (or better) in one (or both) of the two finals!
So what do you think? What each of us (or together as team) can do now to get even better results? Can we add even more devices or cores? How can we convince more team members to concentrate temporarily more power in WCG? How can we attract some new members (wives, brothers-in-law, mothers-in-law, neighbours)?
Caution: if you have something to say that should not be read by other teams, please use the private thread instead of this one. Thank you and have a quiet crunching week! :USA:
