So you want a Wi-Fi 7 wireless router...

Since I have a 1Gbps fiber connection and the ISP provided only a Wi-Fi 5 wireless router, I decided to buy a Wi-Fi 7 router. I normally use a Cat 8 LAN cable for my desktop computer but the house is being painted and it is connected on Wi-Fi while being relocated.

I am pleased with the new router, or I was until my wife said, "I don't have internet." Her Dell laptop is not Wi-Fi 7 capable, but there is a $36 solution: A BE200 NGW Wireless LAN Card.

We're up to CAT 8 now? I guess there's not much use for this old D-Link DIR-655 router I still have hanging around. I'm still waiting for all this fiber they laid around here to get active. Sigh.....

The wireless LAN card upgrade did not work on my wife's legacy Dell Inspiron 7737 laptop because the cards are different forms. I ordered a USB Tri-Band wireless access point. We'll see if it works with Windows 10 when the part arrives on Thursday.

Edit: The wireless adapter works great.
